According to the company, the prominent feature recently introduced is video calling, initially 8 people could be included in a video call but now this limit has been increased 4 times i.e. 32 people can be included in a video call.

Another prominent feature is to send messages to or mute the people who are part of the calls, the method is that a long press on a person's icon will bring up the message or mute option.

The third prominent and best feature is call links, which has already been announced but it has also been made functional, now users can share it with other users by going to the calls tab and clicking on create call link. Individuals will be sent this link and will click on it to join the call.

Apart from this, view form and call banner notifications are also being added to video calls, which WhatsApp said will make multitasking easier for users during calls.

WhatsApp has also announced the addition of picture-in-picture mode to video calls in the next few weeks.
